Our management team
Metin Taskin is chief executive officer of Airties, responsible for the company’s global strategy. Since co-founding the business in 2004 he has been instrumental in building Airties into a leader in AI-driven connectivity solutions which are trusted by broadband providers to deliver exceptional experiences to millions of homes and businesses around the globe.
With more than 20 years experience in wireless communications, Taskin is one of the industry’s top technology leaders and serves on the board of the Wireless Broadband Alliance.
He holds a degree in electrical engineering and a master’s in biomedical engineering from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
Renaud is the Chief Financial Officer of Airties, where he has led the company’s financial transformation towards a full SaaS model since joining in 2022. He brings over 25 years of experience in the tech industry and oversees Finance, IT, and Legal operations for the Group.
Prior to joining Airties, he served as Group CFO at Sogetrel (a telecom service company) and Lowendalmasaï (a consultancy), where he led significant digital and operational transformation programs, as well as multiple rounds of financing and equity exits. He also held EMEA Finance Director roles at HP and AVAYA in Spain and France, and began his career at Arthur Andersen, later joining Renault UK.
Renaud is an ESCP alumnus and holds an MBA from Drexel University.
Sachin is the Chief Technical & Product Officer at Airties, where he is responsible for the company’s global product strategy, innovation, engineering, customer success, and partnerships. He has been instrumental in strengthening Airties’ leadership in AI-driven connectivity solutions.
Prior to joining Airties, he held senior technical and leadership roles at Juniper, Nokia, Rakuten, NTT Data, and several startups, with more than 25 years of experience in building high-performance network, cloud, and communications products. He has served for many years as a delegate and leading contributor in ETSI NFV and the Open Network Foundation SDN standards bodies, authoring specifications that underpin today’s cloud and telecom network products.
Sachin holds an engineering degree in Computer Science and Information Technology.
Bart is the EVP & GM of New Ventures at Airties, where he is responsible for introducing new product lines, business models, and partnerships to drive the company’s growth. Together with CTPO team and Sales leaders, he focuses on building Airties Pro and Multi from the ground up, securing market traction, and establishing the commercial foundations and strategic partnerships needed for success.
Since joining Airties in 2019, Bart has played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a CPE-focused business into a pure SaaS leader. He successfully grew Airties’ software business and guided the transition away from hardware, helping position Airties as a global innovator in managed connectivity solutions. Prior to Airties, Bart held senior roles at Alcatel, Thomson Telecom, and Technicolor, combining technical expertise with business leadership to drive growth in CPE and managed Wi-Fi.
He holds a degree in Electronic Engineering, a master’s from EHSAL Management School, and an MBA with Great Distinction from Vlerick Business School.
Oz Yildirim is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Americas Business Unit at Airties, where he has led the growth of Airties Home product penetration to 25 million households in the U.S.
He was part of Airties’ start-up team in 2004 and played a key role in developing the company’s Wi-Fi and Cloud product lines between 2004 and 2015, contributing to its market leadership in Europe.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, specializing in Mobile and Wi-Fi Networks, from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul. He also completed an MBA and is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management.
Andrew is the EVP & GM of EMEA at Airties, where he is responsible for driving the company’s growth across the EMEA region. Together with his team, he works closely with service provider customers, partners, and prospects to help them improve their understanding, delivery, and support of a world-class connectivity experience.
Prior to joining Airties, he held senior roles at Ericsson, Unisys, Airwide, and Openwave, with more than 30 years of experience in developing and leading technology go-to-market teams. Over 15 of those years were spent working with telecom operators globally on advancements in networks, CPE, customer experience, and service differentiation.
Andrew holds a BSc with Honours in Communications Engineering, an Executive MBA, and completed the Ericsson Management Program. He is a former board member of the Unisys/BT Joint Venture.
John is the EVP & GM of APAC at Airties, where he is responsible for driving the company’s growth across the Asia-Pacific region. Together with his team, he works closely with service provider customers, partners, and prospects to help them improve their understanding, delivery, and support of a world-class connectivity experience.
Prior to joining Airties, he held senior leadership roles at Nokia, including President & Representative Director of Nokia Japan and Customer Team Head for Rakuten, with more than 25 years of experience leading high-growth organizations and major market expansions across Europe and Asia.
John holds a degree in civil and structural engineering and has extensive expertise in sales strategy, business development, and large-scale network transformations.
