Location: HQ office in Paris, France. The other offices are Antwerp (Wilrijk) Belgium, Turkey and UK.


Introduction

Airties seeks a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Development to lead its expansion across Europe. This role is pivotal in managing new business opportunities and requires an individual who can embody and convey Airties’ vision and values.

The position demands a strong commitment to delivering robust business growth and maintaining active engagement with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and customers.

What you will do:

Budget and Sales Plan

  • Develop new business line to achieve sales budget targets and profit margin goals

Representation of Airties

  • Serve as an ambassador for Airties, engaging with internal and external stakeholders, partners, and customers
  • Help co-ordinate projects with our partner companies
  • Identify new strategic partners and expand the agent/distributor/partner network

Market Opportunity Identification

  • Develop and execute strategies for regional business growth in cooperation with the global sales and marketing team
  • Analyze market information and establish key strategic industry contacts
  • Contribute to product direction to align with regional market needs

Business Opportunity Management

  • Recognize and map customer needs to Airties’ products
  • Drive product development to meet future customer requirements
  • Provide market trends and development insights to Marketing / Product teams
  • Devise market entry and development strategies
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other regions for strategic pan-European account advancement

Meeting and Presentation Skills

  • Conduct high-level senior meetings effectively
  • Communicate across all levels, from engineers to CEOs
  • Prepare and present meeting agendas and follow-ups

Promotion of Airties’ Products and Roadmap

  • Understand and match Airties’ products with customer needs
  • Discuss future industry trends with customers
  • Build strong relationships with key industry players

Business Process Management

  • Manage proposal tasks, including assignment, delegation, and verification
  • Handle all customer communication and negotiations
  • Responsible for the Airties sales forecast for the region

Account Management

  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
  • Close new contracts for new products/services with existing customers
  • Maximize upsell and revenue from current customers
  • Assist in managing customer purchase orders and payment execution

What you should ideally bring:

  • Professional Background: At least 15-25 years of professional experience, with a successful track record in targeted sales and business development, especially in SaaS and complex, technical environments
  • Industry Expertise: Knowledge and experience in the telecommunications and wireless software industry is preferable
  • International Experience: Proficiency in understanding diverse communication styles and foreign languages
  • Personality: highly energetic, decisive, and ambitious. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, integrity, and the ability to inspire and motivate customers. Strong new business mindset, capable of building outstanding interpersonal relationships
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Proficient in time management, planning, organizing, and commercial understanding
    • Ability to relate to all organization levels, work as a team player, implement and support complex strategies, set and manage priorities, and comprehend complex technical and commercial subjects
  • Core Behavioral Competencies:
    • Making and driving change, managing customers effectively, processing information, facilitating teamwork, achieving commercial excellence, maintaining technical competence, inspiring communication, accepting accountability, creating innovative ideas, and continuously improving performance
