Introduction
Airties is seeking a Product Manager to strengthen the Product Management team. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of products and solutions including developing propositions and business cases, product definition, user experience design, overseeing product development, deciding on product releases, conducting beta, launch, demand creation and end-of-life processes. In collaboration with the Product Marketing Strategy team, you will introduce new products and solutions to the market and communicate features and benefits to both internal and external audiences. You will have significant contact with customers and partners at a strategic level, to ensure that requirements and changing market demands are incorporated into product design and development.
This position is based out of the Airties Belgium office in Antwerp with a flexible, hybrid working model.
What you will do:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent is required, Master’s degree and MBA degree are a plus
- Minimum 8 years of experience in product management or related roles with product and customer facing elements such as product marketing, strategy or business development
- Know-how of the telecommunications market and technologies, big data and AI applications
- Experience with lean product processes and agile SW/SaaS development life cycles
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Passionate about the products and solutions you work with and keen on expanding your knowledge
- Customer oriented, ability to work with the marketing and sales teams proactively to develop new business
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and partners and to negotiate features and change requests from customers and turn them into requirements for R&D
- Able to bond quickly and capable of managing conflicting priorities successfully to reach the company goals
- Proven ability to take initiative and generate results
- Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic multi-project environment
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong planning and monitoring skills
- Comfortable to travel internationally to visit customers
What you should ideally bring:
- The responsibility offered comprises assisting in defining strategy for Airties Managed Wi-Fi solutions and adjacent products
- This entails following activities:
- Follow relevant market trends, technology evolutions, standard evolutions and partner supplier roadmaps based on market reports, technology announcements, meetings and customer visits
- Perform regular benchmarking, competitive analysis, technology evaluations and stakeholder interviews
- Identify the market needs and define end-to-end solutions that address them in a differentiating way
- Present internal reviews comprising technology evaluation, competitive positioning, business model canvas and related business case and go-to-market
- Participate in user testing activities
- Deliver use case definitions and user experience designs towards R&D
- Work together with Marketing teams and use data from customers and internal data, to ensure a clear positioning and proof of value of the features/solutions
- Generate externally usable material such as white papers, presentations, data sheets and competitive positioning clearly demonstrating and enhancing Airties’ leading position
- Identify gaps in the solution and give recommendations how to fill them
- You drive as business owner the virtual feature team of the features/solutions/modules you are working on until it is ready for planning and you participate in driving the content in upcoming phases
- You conduct quarterly strategy reviews to assess the success of your features/solution/module choices and advise and recommend the strategy to be followed and decisions to be taken
- You work in close cooperation with sales, customers and partners, and supporting the sales team in its pre-sales effort together with solution architects
- You ensure the right proof of value, price and cost of the features/modules/solutions you are responsible for
- You ensure proper alignment with sales to maintain a positive business plan for your technologies and find champions to introduce your product to customers
- You produce necessary sales trainings and associated documents (datasheets, roadmaps, launch kits, white papers, commercial and marketing pitches) in collaboration with Marketing teams
- You promote your product to the internal and external stakeholders
- You represent the vision of Airties towards customers and the vision of its customers towards the organization
- You interact frequently with R&D, sales, management in Belgium, France, Turkey and the United States
- You are a team player who interacts easily with the different layers of the company’s management
