QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background:

• 4-year university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in the software industry.
• Significant experience (at least 4 years) as an Automation Engineer, with a focus on Cloud and Mobile App testing.
• In-depth experience with various automation tools, with proficiency in Selenium, Appium, and other relevant tools.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for both Cloud and Mobile applications.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or other OOP languages.
• Advanced knowledge of Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Extensive experience in testing mobile applications on different platforms (iOS and Android).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Good understanding of general networking protocols.
• Ability to analyze crash logs, backtraces, and assist engineers by utilizing basic debugging techniques.

Cloud and Mobile App Specific Skills:

• Hands-on experience with testing Cloud-based services, including APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Experience with mobile app automation testing on various devices and platforms.
• Knowledge of best practices for mobile app development and testing.
• Knowledge of mobile app security testing.
• Proficiency in testing native and hybrid mobile applications.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Leadership skills, especially for guiding and mentoring junior team members.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent team player
• Fluent English in both verbal and written communication

Certifications:

• ISTQB certification or relevant certifications in Cloud and Mobile App testing would be a plus.

Additional Skills:

• Experience in designing and implementing test strategies for Cloud and Mobile App testing.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge about Linux based embedded systems.

Adaptability and Continuous Learning:

• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with the latest trends in Cloud and Mobile App testing.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Lead the design and implementation of robust and scalable test automation frameworks for Cloud-based services and Mobile Applications.
• Responsible for conducting end-to-end testing of Cloud-based applications and services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Lead the testing efforts for native and hybrid mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
• Develop and execute automated tests for mobile app functionality, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA teams, to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely delivery.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the automation engineering team.
• Supporting testers about analyzing test automation failures, as needed.
• Tracking the sprint completion of relevant development and test teams and ensuring smooth testing workflows.
• Building and maintaining robust, scalable test automation solutions that stand the test of time.
• Continuously improving our test automation processes and finding new ways to optimize efficiency.
• Documenting test automation features and team processes for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Contributing to the evolution of our test automation frameworks and tools.
