Bringing Smart and Secure Connected Homes to Life: Come and See Us at Rakuten AI Optimism Event in Japan

by John Lancaster-Lennox, EVP and GM, Asia Pacific

We’re excited to support Rakuten AI Optimism event in Japan this August to showcase a real-world connected home demo that highlights how operator-grade Wi Fi management, device visibility, and AI can dramatically improve and personalise the subscriber experience.

The event is targeted at consumers and business customers and held at Pacifico, Yokohama Japan from 5th – 7th of August. Japan is a leading indicator for the future of the connected home because it combines some of the world’s highest fibre penetration rates with extremely high consumer expectations for digital quality and reliability.

One home hub

We will be part of a compact in venue home setup that demonstrates how Rakuten’s FWA solution, coupled with the Airties experience management platform, delivers reliable and seamless in-home connectivity. The platform monitors, manages and optimizes the Wi-Fi network for the entire smart home and across all connected devices, ensuring superior digital experiences for every subscriber. Visitors will see our Vision App driving Wi Fi quality of experience (QoE) management, showing who and what is using bandwidth, identifying issues, and presenting actionable insights that make connectivity tangible for subscribers. By combining QoE management with device visibility, operators can move beyond “just speed” and give subscribers meaningful control and transparency in their homes.

AI optimizes the home network

Self help tools and the option to personalize the Wi-Fi network for specific needs reduce friction for end users and cut first line support needs dramatically, enabling faster resolution and higher satisfaction. Imagine watching a World Cup game and optimizing your Wi-Fi network with the click of a button in your app, so the system auto-prioritizes streaming traffic and adjusts quality of service.

The combination of device-level visibility and Wi Fi QoE reduces support time, improves troubleshooting accuracy, and creates new upsell and marketing opportunities so gamers can get targeted offers based on usage patterns.

We are looking forward to demonstrating the smart and secure connected home at Rakuten AI Optimism. See you in Japan!
